Board of Trustees

In 1973, the citizens of Indianola voted to establish a Board of Trustees to govern the city's electric and water utilities.  In 1997 citizens approved the addition of a telecom utility.  Since that time, the IMU Board has had autonomous control over the operation, staffing and financial activity of all three utility facilities.  The IMU Board of Trustees members are appointed by the Mayor of Indianola and may serve for two six-year terms plus any partial term for which he/she might have been appointed.
