Central Air Conditioners: To qualify, customers must work with their contractor to choose a central air conditioner that is adequate for the size of their home, having a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) of 14 or higher.

Commercial Lighting:  Commercial customers may receive a rebate for installing energy efficient lighting either during new construction or as a retrofit.  Facilities must be able to verify 1,000 hours of annual operating time to be eligible.  A site visit by IMU is required prior to installation.

Add-On or Air-to-Air Heat Pump:  Residential and commercial customers receive a rebate for adding a heat pump to the existing heating and cooling system.

Geothermal Heat Pumps:  Residential and commercial customers receive a rebate for installing a geothermal heat pump as the primary heating and cooling system.

Programmable Thermostat:  Residential and commercial customers receive a rebate for installing a programmable thermostat; new install only.  Replacement units and new construction are excluded.

Energy Audits:  IMU customers can also request an energy audit that will be provided at no cost.  Commercial customers should call 515-961-9444, ext. 5302 to request an audit and residential customers should call 800-545-0762 to request an audit.
