Indianola Municipal Utilities is the electric and water service provider for Indianola, Iowa.  These services are billed monthly along with the city's sanitary sewer, storm water and recycling services. Application for municipal utility services must be filed at the City Clerk’s office located at 110 North First Street, Indianola.  The application must be signed by all adults or emancipated minors residing at the address to be served.  A connection charge shall be required at the time of application.  Regular business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  A valid photo ID is required.

After Hours Connection:  Application for municipal utility services outside regular business hours may be filed at the Indianola Police Department located at 110 North First Street, Indianola.  The application must be signed by all adults or emancipated minors residing at the address to be served.  A connection charge shall be required at the time of application and must be paid by check or cash.  Police Department hours are 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  A valid photo ID is required.
